Internet Calibration
As you are aware there are many
different service levels available to a customer ranging from full service,
maintenance & calibration to a "Calibration Only" service. The time
may come when the roads become so congested that it becomes no longer
economically viable for engineer to visit site to provide a
"Calibration Only" service. In these case potentially we could offer a
internet calibration service, the key features of the service would be
-
System would be run through
customer's internet connection or a PDA with secure GPRS connection
(supplied by EI)
-
The customer would be
supplied with the relevant reference standards eg with balances we would
send the customer the certified weights
-
The customer would be
given access to an expert calibration programme which will guide the
operator through a step by step test plan for calibrating that particular
instrument
-
Should the instrument
fail the calibration the customer would be told how to perform the
necessary adjustments online or via a telephone support service.
-
Following completion of
a calibration a electronic certificate would be produced
So in this solution EI provide
the calibration standards, expertise and know how. The customer simply
supplies the manpower which could come from internal sources or a local
employment agency |
